Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu's 84th Posthumous Birthday Is Today (Throwback Photos )

Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu (4 November 1933 – 26 November 2011) was a Nigerian military officer and politician who served as the military governor of the Eastern Region of Nigeria in 1966 and the leader of the breakaway Republic of Biafra from 1967 to 1970. He was active as a politician from 1983 to 2011, when he died aged 78.

iyad Mahrez yet to receive Arsenal bid: 'There is nothing on the table'

Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez has called recent praise from Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger "an honour" but says he has yet to receive an offer from the London side. Wenger  suggested the Gunners could make an offer  for the 2015-16 PFA Player of the Season, who announced his desire to leave Leicester last month. However, the 26-year-old Algeria international told Elheddaf Television that offer has yet to materialise. "It is an honour to receive compliments like this from such a big manager in world football," Mahrez said.
